About the President :

Helen Makinde is the President of Dayspring Missions of Hope – a Minister of the Gospel and an ordained Senior Chaplain at the International Fellowship of Chaplains.
She went to College in England graduating in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She is a Banker by Profession, holds a Masters degree in Banking and Finance and has worked for many years in a Federal Government owned Bank in Nigeria before relocating to the United States with her family over 20 years ago.

She has since her movement to the United States, been in the Early Childhood business. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge in the word of God, while carrying on her Preschool and Child Care business, she enrolled in 2001 for a four-year degree Program with a Christian University in the State of Florida and obtained a Bachelors degree in Bible and Theology in 2005.

Her passion and Love for God and God’s Children led her to become a Short-term Missionary sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in many Countries – Argentina, Guatemala, Haiti and Malawi. She also has since the past seventeen years (till present) been sharing the gospel with the inmates at different Jails and Prisons in the United States as well as in Malawi with the privilege of leading thousands of souls to the knowledge of Christ.

Still with her passion as a People’s helper, she trained and was ordained in 2018 a Senior Chaplain at the International Fellowship of Chaplains, USA so as to continue sharing the love of Christ with all and sundry.

Presently, through the Dayspring Missions of Hope Organization, a Secondary School is being built in a Community in Malawi where there is no School and little Children have to walk 22 Miles daily to the closest School. When this School is completed, the 6 Hour daily Walk becomes only 15 Minutes.

She started this Kingdom endeavors journey with her beloved husband – Charles but who gloriously went to be with the Lord in January 2017. Before the Lord’s call, they had been married for 36 years and were blessed with God fearing Children and Grand Children living in different parts of United States.
It has been such a great privilege and honor to love and serve God’s Children in Need in various Countries of the World. We are so thankful to God for this privilege and In His Service we will remain till His Return in Jesus precious name. (Amen)
